Redistributing the cards of international mobility
For some, moving around the world is an opportunity. For others, however, it's the walls that stand in the way, limiting their possibilities to the borders of their own country. These people are confronted with a complex, opaque and often discouraging. Visa procedures are long, complicated and often misunderstood. Information is contradictory, and delays are untenable.
I'm Rochelle, co-founder of La Cour des Grands. I'm Belgian, hold a Master's degree in Social Engineering and Action, and have worked for several years in immigration law. I have seen hundreds of people, entire families, stymied by interminable procedures. Life projects hanging on a missing document, a badly formulated letter, or an arbitrary decision.
My co-founder, Ruben, has a master's degree in law and is a lawyer.
When our paths crossed, we were immediately drawn to the same conclusion: visa procedures to Belgium are a real obstacle course.
And according to Myriathe independent Belgian federal body specializing in foreigners' rights, professional support plays a decisive role in the success of applicationsparticularly for family reunification. And when they seek help, the people concerned come up against the reality that associations, however valuable they may be, are often overwhelmed. Lawyers, who are very expensive and sometimes unavailable, rarely listen or offer emotional support, not to mention all the other unscrupulous intermediaries.
This is where La Cour Des Grands was born.
A space in which we've rethought the way we accompany people from A to Z. We wanted an intelligent, accessible, humane solution that adapts to the needs and means of each individual, drawing on our experience and the possibilities offered by technology.
And that's how we set things up:
A free simulator
which allows you to check whether you meet the requirements for the visa you want. If they are eligible, they are automatically redirected to the appropriate training course, designed to explain the step-by-step procedure.
Multilingual courses
in 7 languages (more to come!), accessible and educational, designed for those who want to progress at their own pace, without falling into the classic traps.
The Check&Go
And for those who need more, who don't (yet) have enough confidence in their talent, we offer final checks, file strengthening, or full support, combining technology and human service.
Our approach is clear, structured and sincere
We don't promise the impossible. We don't sugarcoat reality.
But we do offer a safe spacewhere everyone can finally see things more clearly, make the right choicesavoid false promises, and keep control of their future plans.
Because what we really want is for everyone to have the means to cross the borders that even Belgians can't manage to cross: those of incomprehension, doubt and loneliness in the face of bureaucracy.
And finally, we want mobility to be a question of project and preparation, not passport.
